13:08 Aleister has drawn the circle in the sand. The Sahara is heavy, no wind. I am inside the small triangle, pen in hand. He said: "answer nothing, whatever you hear — only write".
13:42 The voice has changed for the first time. I am not sure whether it is A. C. — but I keep writing. !
14:08 "I am, from eternity to eternity. I was all things." Spoken through his lips, but not in his voice. The face changed — I looked away so as not to break the record.
14:23 Choronzon laughs. this is not a man's laugh The sound comes not from the throat but from the emptiness between the words. I write it all down without making sense of it. Aleister trembles, but holds the circle.
15:01 "My name is the Name of God. Bow to me, you who are unworthy." I did not bow. I wrote. ×
15:46 He named my own thoughts. The ones I never spoke. The ones I thought in London in August. How. How does he know. this is not a spirit. this is something nearer.
17:30 The voice weakened. The pauses between phrases grew longer. Into one of those pauses came the last phrase: "…I will go. but the one who heard will remain the one who heard." Then — silence. Not a departure. An absence.
19:14 A. C. back in himself. He asks: "what did I say?" I handed him the pages without a word. He read them for an hour. Grew pale. ? Then he said only: "burn the triangle. And the sand." We burned it.
